Makiah (they/them), an eleventh-grade homeschool student, is currently engaged in their second year of college courses. They have played cello since age two, presently studying at a music conservatory. They have won concerto competitions and have been a featured performer at music school fundraisers and board meetings. In addition to performing at events in their Roxbury community, they have built a strong reputation as a trainer and advocate on neurodiversity and intersectionality.
